Ally founded Bend Studio 6 years ago. She began her yoga practice during a particularly hectic semester as a biochemistry major in 1991.
2 years later she began teaching. Since then, she has traveled extensively, attended and taught
dozens of workshops and teacher trainings with the most respected senior Iyengar instructors
in the world. She continues to operate Bend studio in Dallas and teach group classes. Her specialty is working one on one with athletes or those with continuing therapeutic issues.

There hasn't been a day since I began my practice that yoga hasn't been
a part of my life in one aspect or another. My desire is that not just my students,
but all who study yoga, from the beginner to the advanced, realize that it is not just a series of physical exercises but a
way of life that is beautiful, balanced, and clean. It offers to all who choose
it a support on this journey that is unparalleled by anything else. "

Jennifer Mabus

Jennifer Mabus received her BFA in Dance Performance at SMU, has completed the 500-Hour Instructor Professional Program at Yoga Works in New York City, and is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has taught yoga and dance, as well as been a personal trainer, extensively throughout New York City, as well as completed a residency at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, MI. We are very proud to welcome her to Bend Studio starting in 2008.

Jasmine has completed the Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Program, as well as received a BA in Dance from Columbia College in Chicago. She has extensive training in prenatal yoga as well as with working with children and teaching them Yoga for Kids and creative movement. In addition, she has organized and taught Mommy and Me yoga classes, developed obstacle courses for physical movement taught beginning and intermediate level yoga and Pilates courses. It is our pleasure to welcome her to Bend Studio.
Lis Settle Calaway
Pilates Mat
Lis has been a devoted practitioner of Pilates since 2001. For her, it has become an essential part of staying healthy through flexibility, strength, energy and body awareness. She is a Michael Miller Pilates Master Instructor and continues to study with Michael when he is in Dallas and at his studio in Boulder, Colorado. She is also certified in pre- and post-natal fitness through the Cooper Institute. Her matwork certification is through Karen Sanzo of Pilates Unlimited. In addition to her continuing education Mr. Miller, she works with Karen Sanzo P.T., Donna Fisher, John Kelley M.T., Wendy LeBlanc-Arbuckle of the Pilates Center of Austin, Power Pilates, the Pilates Center of Boulder and Pilates elder Mary Bowen.
Lis did her undergraduate work at the University of Missouri-Columbia and her graduate work at California State University-Long Beach. She had an international childhood, growing up in Libya, Belgium, England, Iran and Alaska. Her passions beyond Pilates are her family, cooking, and volunteering as a Texas Master Gardener.
