IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT BOOKING A SHOW AT BEND STUDIO
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU INQUIRE FURTHER!!!
We are very excited about the growth that Bend Studio is experiencing, and truthfully, we want everyone to play our room at some point. Through our experiences over the past 2 years, however, we have had to develop a few criteria for the artists that play our space. Please read the following carefully, and email ALLY with any questions you may have. We sincerely hope you still take an interest in being a part of our series.
• For the time being, we no longer accept unsolicited demo kits and press packets. Truthfully, we get more inquiries than we can handle at the moment, and it's not fair to accept your material if we don't have time to give it the attention it truly deserves. We will probably start collecting press kits again this Fall, 2006, in preparation for booking our roster for Spring of 2007. Honestly, we would actually prefer to look at your Myspace page or website if you have one, anyway, so please be sure and send us those links.
• Bend Studio is an extremely unique venue. We are not a bar or nightclub, we are a listening room and a destination point for those coming specifically to see the artist who is scheduled on a particular evening. Due to the number of artists we are hosting, we can no longer rely solely on the promotion that we do to insure a successful show. That's why we try to book artists based on their draw in Dallas, but also on their willingness to help us promote their shows.
• We will ask that all musicians take a very active roll in advertising their Bend Studio shows. This includes but is not limited to a) having the show up on any website and/or myspace pages within 1 week of scheduling the show date. b) sending out REGULAR, weekly bulletins and emails to YOUR lists, copying the email address ally@bendstudio.com to any mailers, and c) contacting local press with info about the show. If you are not willing to put a reasonable amount of effort into spreading the word about your show, it might be better that you seek out another place to play in the area. We want our shows to be something special that both you and we put energy into making successful. Contact us if you can reasonably guarantee that you have a draw in the area and that you will be active in promoting your show with us.

NO OTHER SHOWS ARE TO BE BOOKED IN THE DALLAS AREA 30 DAYS ON EITHER SIDE, AND IN FORT WORTH OR DENTON 2 WEEKS ON EITHER SIDE, OF YOUR SCHEDULED SHOW AT BEND.
FOR OPENING ACTS:
NO OTHER SHOWS ARE TO BE BOOKED IN THE DALLAS AREA 2 WEEKS, AND IN FORT WORTH OR DENTON 1 WEEK ON EITHER SIDE OF YOUR SCHEDULED SHOW AT BEND.
