Pilates Mat
Pilates Method is designed to sculpt your entire body and
help you lose weight all at the same time. A special combination
of controlled movements that is guaranteed to sculpt long,
lean muscles, Pilates strengthens the muscles that support
the spine, namely the neck, shoulders, abdominals, hips and
thighs. Most body aches and pain are due to muscular imbalance.
Pilates will help you to realign the spine in order to decrease
tension, increase flexibility and strengthen the body from
the inside out.
$100 / $95 with a friend (friend = someone who is new to Bend Studio) / $105 day of class

About Lis Settle Calaway
Lis has been a devoted practitioner of Pilates since 2001. For her, it has become an essential part of staying healthy through flexibility, strength, energy and body awareness. She is a Michael Miller Pilates Master Instructor and continues to study with Michael when he is in Dallas and at his studio in Boulder, Colorado. She is also certified in pre- and post-natal fitness through the Cooper Institute. Her matwork certification is through Karen Sanzo of Pilates Unlimited. In addition to her continuing education Mr. Miller, she works with Karen Sanzo P.T., Donna Fisher, John Kelley M.T., Wendy LeBlanc-Arbuckle of the Pilates Center of Austin, Power Pilates, the Pilates Center of Boulder and Pilates elder Mary Bowen.
Lis did her undergraduate work at the University of Missouri-Columbia and her graduate work at California State University-Long Beach. She had an international childhood, growing up in Libya, Belgium, England, Iran and Alaska. Her passions beyond Pilates are her family, cooking, and volunteering as a Texas Master Gardener.
Lis loves sharing the joy of Pilates with others. Her students and clients enjoy her awareness of breath and body; her focus on helping them meet their goals, including improved fitness, health, and postual alignment; and her enthusiasm. For Lis, it's a delight to share what works the body, stimulates the mind, and honors both.
